Surf apparel traditionally stands for identity. Wearing your fave surf, windsurf, skate or whatever action sports brand logo you choose told everyone which tribe you belong to. In recent times, big surf brands haven’t had the impact they once did. Instead, homegrown, cottage industry companies are more the go. Enter Six Foot and Pumpkin – a fun take on the surfing phrase, ‘six foot and pumping’ with designs that exude California cool. As can be seen below.
Surf apparel – a side hustle for professional photographer James Jagger.
James Jagger is no stranger to Windsurfing UK. He’s been on hand for many equipment test photoshoots as well as being in front of the lens as well. A few years back James had the idea for Six Foot and Pumpkin and saw success for a while. Then focus and priority had to shift resulting in the brand going on hiatus.
Earlier in 2024 James decided to relaunch the company with a fresh new look. Updated and rejuvenated Six Foot and Pumpkin surf apparel has been dragged into the daylight once again. Fresh aesthetics, yes, but still with the same ethos as before.
Six Foot and Pumpkin available through NCW surf shop.
Working with NCW – an authentic North Cornwall-based surf shop – Six Foot and Pumpkin tees are available through their online shop. You can find the current range here.
James said, ‘I’m super happy to relaunch Six Foot and Pumpkin with a fresh new look. The brand has a lot of history so I’m glad it’s back. If you’re after surfing apparel with a different spin (that also suits windsurfers – after all I’m one myself!) then check out the Pumpkin. Also, big thanks to NCW for partnering with me as a retailer. For authentic surf shop vibes look no further than these guys who based just 10 minutes outside of Polzeath, North Cornwall..’
